What is a “lecture” online? Beyond the text box...

The showcase will focus on a core question:
  • Where does student learning happen in the online environment?
  • How do we present the information that must be learned and then how do we engage students to learn it?
Focus on Student Equity, and the need to consider many alternative strategies when tackling the challenge of student success for targeted minority groups in online classes.
Date: Friday, May 16th
Time: 9:00 am -12:00 pm
Place: Toyon Room
Refreshments will be served.
Format: Four 10-minute presentations of "possibilities" for promoting "learning" in the online environment, followed by break-out sessions to learn more in detail about any one of these and group discussion.
