Next TAC Meeting:  Tuesday (Feb 4) @ 7pm in Rudder 401

Howdy Ag,

In 2010, Obama and Nancy Pelosi passed healthcare reform despite that millions of Americans opposed the major transformation.  Currently, we are seeing the ramifications of this policy.  The cost of health care coverage is skyrocketing, and, despite Obama's assurances, people have been losing their doctors and insurance plans.  Does this scenario - where the elite in political power push policy despite what is good for the country and despite what people think -- sound familiar Ags?

As TAC announced last week (not like the university administration ever will), the Texas A&M Board of Regents passed tuition increases and reform (deform?) despite at least 1166 students, former students, and parents submitting written testimony opposing the tuition reform.  As a result, many Aggies are going to have to make sacrifices in order to afford school for the 2014-2015 academic year, and the university administration will now have more money and greater "flexibility" to push their "progressive" agenda at A&M. Even though the vote didn't go our way, we succeeded in gaining thousands of people to our side, and they will be powerful allies in the future.

, please join me this evening (Tuesday, February 4) at 7:00 PM in Rudder Tower 401 for the Aggie Conservatives Meeting.  At the meeting, we will discuss the new tuition policy, higher education, popular culture, and other topics of interest.

See you this evening.

Gig 'em,

Kelsey Magliolo
