Holistic Child Health Newsletter

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Holistic Child Health Newsletter.
The goal of my holistic pediatric practice, and of this newsletter, is to inform and support parents to become more empowered as the primary health care providers for their children. Extending far beyond Western medicine's conventional treatments, holistic medicine and mindful parenting allow us to boost children's natural immunity, support their optimum health and wellness, safely heal any illnesses, and prevent disease-without dangerous side effects. Holistic medicine provides us with the tools to nurture the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of your children.
Over the coming months and years, I intend to use this newsletter to address some of your concerns as parents, share information that you might want to add to your knowledge base, and inform you of important issues and current events that are happening in the news, and in your area.
Together we can heal the whole child. Naturally.
Yours in Health,
Lawrence B. Palevsky, MD

Vaccination During Pregnancy: Is It Safe?
Dr Palevsky's Comments: Barbara Loe Fisher, time and again, offers up the facts, with yet another well-written paper summarizing the reality of the health crisis in our country, and with a detailed documentation of th e specific scientific studies that almost no physician cares to read and critically examine. Yet, despite the fact that her material is true and valid, truth and validity are not what is accepted by the medical profession, the vaccine manufacturers, or the governmental officials. Ideology and standard of care remain the norm. What else ends up happening? We fail to see a widespread publication by the mainstream media of the facts as they are, and we fail to see an examination by the public-at-large of the material that will balance out the heavily biased vaccine story. Such publication and examination of the material could lead to the proper dialogue, and potentially, the appropriate changes in policy making, starting from the proper monitoring of the vaccine manufacturing process, to the determination of valid, scientific vaccine safety and effectiveness studies, to the implementation of the appropriate independent studies so the fox isn't guarding the henhouse, and to the necessary responsibility and accountability of poor health outcomes in those who succumb to adverse vaccine responses.
No one is liable. Kids, and adults, keep getting poisoned and damaged. People walk by the smell of the dead horse on the front lawn, and no one notices there is a rotten smell in town. Or, if they do, no one speaks up about it. They'd prefer to go on living just the way they have been living. After all, to them it's just, 'not in my back yard.'
Good for Barbara for laying out the truth, although as most people know by now, there is great radio silence when someone like Barbara lays things out so obviously, and so adeptly. None of the authorities dares to give this vital information any time, any energy, or any respect. They just let the hoopla fade once Barbara publishes something like this, and then the standard of care remains the standard of care.
Sadly, the saying I was taught in medical school still holds true, "medicine changes one death at a time." Yes, I'm merely repeating what I was taught in medical school, 26-30 years ago......

Chemical in antibacterial hand soaps poses health risks, scientists say
Dr Palevsky's Comments: No need for this chemical in our products. And, no need for anti-microbial's in any of our products. We don't want to wipe out the micro-organisms on our skin, or in our body. Wash your hands with plain water, just to keep them clean. That's all we need to do.

Each month, Dr Palevsky will be answering a hot topic question....
Q
Dr Palevsky, I find my child's pediatrician isn't willing to have a conversation with me about vaccines. What can I do to impress upon him that my opinion counts?
A
In other words, if a pediatrician opens the door for a dialogue, and offers you an opportunity to engage in an educated back-and-forth discussion, to hear your thoughts and have you express your concerns so you can participate in a real conversation, you're more likely to be empowered to stand in your truth and express your feelings that a vaccine may not be in the best interest of your child.
If a pediatrician pulls rank and tells you with authoritative language, "I'm in charge and I know what's best for your child, and it's time to give your child a vaccine," you're more likely to cave in and allow your authority and power to be taken away. In these instances, you are more likely to be a dutiful servant and follow the guidelines. You are more likely to subjugate your voice to the more enlightened and trusting authority, who knows better, and only has your best interest and the well-being of your child, at heart. Oh, ok.
We are in the age of empowerment. My colleagues are beholden to an ideology that does not allow for true, respectful dialogue. There are new ideas about vaccines that challenge the very ideology held by most pediatricians and parents, an ideology by which I was trained to live and practice. Unfortunately, as a critically thinking physician and scientist, I am no longer beholden to the tenets of this ideology. I have found too many inconsistencies, and too many studies and concepts that contradict this ideology.
There are too many holes in the theories, and too many myths, bordering on lies. Keep doing the research. Keep stepping up to protect your children from a medical intervention that has more down sides than benefits. Those people, physicians, parents, & officials, who swear, bully, and demand that you play by their rules, do not have much of a leg to stand on. They are hiding from their own devotion to literature they never read, and parroting concepts that, if truly challenged, would not hold up in a scientific dialogue.
