Record Store Day grows near. Really near, actually! Like, it happens Saturday. Pretty crazy. With that in mind, here's a quick, important announcement from Warren:

---
Record Store Day has been the biggest sale day for Decatur CD the past three years. We have raised money for various causes in various ways in those years, and this year we have one that hits particularly close to home.

We will donate a percentage of our sales on Saturday to Dave Willadsen, who last week tragically lost his wife and daughter to a house fire in Avondale Estates. Dave's son is in the Grady burn unit at the moment. Dave's a friend of a friend, and this tragedy has touched so many people in our community. I cannot even fathom the loss of a wife or daughter. We will donate the money to Dave to use in any way he sees fit.
---

There will be plenty of great music to choose from, which means plenty of ways for you to give a little money back to your community in need. Check out the full list.

Parking should be plentiful, as the salon next door recently moved, and the restaurant next to our parking lot has shuttered. We always recommend walking or MARTA if you can, but we're hoping we can accommodate more automobiles than usual this year.

We'll have a keg of SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale for your imbibing pleasure, thanks to our friends, The Marlay, right up the street. Speaking of The Marlay, anyone who shows a DCD receipt there on Saturday gets 10% off their bill. How's that for local business synergy?!? Pretty dang cool, if we say so ourselves. We suggest you take advantage of their excellent patio on Saturday. Thanks, The Marlay!

No bands this year, but that's probably for the best. It gets crowded enough in here without a bunch of folks rocking out. The landlord, incidentally, nixed the "band on the roof" idea this year, so yeah. Sorry, folks. At least we'll have some local beer.

RSD is a pretty vinyl-centric event, but don't feel slighted if you're a CD-only customer. Believe us, we've got more than a few of those lying around still. Come see what's up, have a beer with us, put some of your money toward a great cause.

Tickets! We've still got some:

The Zombies - Cox Capitol Theatre (Macon) - April 24
Ray Wylie Hubbard and Dale Watson - Cox Capitol Theatre (Macon) - May 24

Phew, OK! Record Store Day, right? Crazy.

Until next time, we remain...
