Dear Dragons,

Thank you to all the support staff and others who made our annual Homecoming week for 2015 so amazing. It was a truly special event that will be remembered by all. And as anyone who works around High School athletics can tell you, homecoming serves as a huge benchmark for the school year. The end of the homecoming football game means the post-season looms for the fall sports. And as such the first district title is already here. Cross Country is ready for their district title shot, Swimming is just getting underway and would you believe there is only a month left of the football regular season. Golf is swinging away and traveling the state preparing for the title run. And Volleyball just keeps putting up the "Ws" and looking toward the end of the regular season as well.

FOOTBALL:

Football had a resounding homecoming win with a 52-21 W over the Richland Rebels. They are now 5-1, 2-0 and it is time for the annual showdown with Trinity on Friday, Oct. 16th at Pennington Field at 7:30pm. Trinity heads into the game at 7-0 and 3-0 in district play.  For those still wishing to purchase tickets for the big showdown, with 1st place in 7-6A on the line, you can purchase tomorrow morning, Friday, until noon at Dragon Stadium. Tickets at the gate are $8.00.

Metro Sports is back for their 13th season as the official broadcast home of your Southlake Carroll Dragons. As always Chuck Kelly will provide the play by play with Kelly Milligan providing color commentary. Travis Smith is Mr. Sidelines. The pre game one hour countdown to kickoff will begin at 6:30pm.

They took their 2nd step toward this end with their first home meet and delivered domination in both the boys and girls side scoring an identical 224 points for each team in defeating the Jaguars. This dominating pair of victories runs the team's meet record to 2-0 on the young season. Up next the squads remain at home for the famous Dragon Hunt on Saturday, Oct. 17th starting at 10am.
