Love at the Library

Madison Public Library's, WI, new Central Library is a hotbed of community activity, including weddings. Recently, Director Greg Mickells shared this story, "...The [groom] met his future wife at the grand opening of our Central Library. He had arranged to meet an online acquaintance for the first time by a sculpture on our 3rd floor outdoor roof terrace. She never showed up, but in the meantime he met another woman who was exploring the terrace during the opening.  Now 6 months later they are making wedding plans and asked if they could use the outside terrace where they met for their wedding ceremony. Libraries can indeed change lives."
