I had so much positive feedback and comments about My Resolution I thought I would add another round for Spring. We will be adding new events such : your picture at the end of a race, an appointment for a mammogram or a dermatology visit for a skin check. We will bring back all of the fun "miles" as well. $10 per member with 100% going back to the winners this time!
4) Message from Maureen- Maureen has affectionately dubbed herself "Slow- Mo" and wants friends to join her in her quest to be the one who doesn't win the race. She is creating a little group called -
Girls on the Slow. This will be for women who want to swim, run and ride recreationally. They will stop and smell the roses every once in a while. If you want to be part of this group (age is not a factor) please contact Maureen @
[email protected] 5) Message from Michelle-
MHWTC members that volunteer race weekend at the Love Run Half Marathon in Philadelphia will raise money for MHWTC. Shifts are available Fri, Sat & Sun, March 28, 29 & 30, 2014. Limited volunteer slots are left. If you are an early bird (which I am not) this is right up your alley! Contact Suzanne at [email protected] to register for our club today! I am pretty sure we will have the same deal for Riverwinds Tri. Stay tuned!
In addition- Michelle and Lauren Gallagher are in charge of sponsorship. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor our club the forms are on our website or you can
click here! We do expect over 1,000 members and sponsors will get special attention from us this year! Including a meet and greet so they can meet all the other sponsors. Speaking of sponsors, don't forget about our Traveling Tri Suit contest. Such a great idea from HFM. I already saw a traveling tri suit at the Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Isle this weekend. Shout out to Eileen and Lauren who were sporting their suits and hats. Loved it! For more info about the
Traveling Tri Suit Contest click here! $1000 up for grabs.
6) Message from Lydia- Lydia does have small and med size End the Stigma shirts. She will bring them to Newbie Night . In addition, we are having shirts designed for Broad Street . Our logo- Mullica Hill Women's Tri Club on the front and on the back it will say " This Broad Can Take Down Any Street". Be sure to save the following dates for our charity: March 24th: Yoga Donation Dance Party @ Rode's Barn, Week of May 5th: End the Sigma Workshop @ Rode's Barn and Thursday, June 12th- Pique-nique en Blanc. More details about the night in white at a later date!
7) WORKOUTS- Oh my gosh.. I can't wait to actually get on my bike and ride, ride, ride. I hope we can start mid- March to early April. I have played this game for too many years and won't put out a firm date because it all depends on the weather. Our first ride will be on a weekend and we will start people at either 5 miles, 10 miles or 15 miles. Keep an eye on facebook because if it hits 45 degrees on a weekend I will call for our first ride! It is a good idea to get your bike in for tune-up or start looking at buying a bike if you don't have one. I can't wait! !!!!! Otherwise, this is what we have going on.... a little something for everyone ( I hope). These are mix of morning and evening workouts and will be put on our calendar as soon as I get a second. Most will start the first week of April.
