Michelle's Message
Greetings!
Can you believe it's already November? It seems like just last week we were running around in t-shirts and shorts basking in the warm 70 and 80 degree temps (wait, that WAS last week!). As the sun continues to set a little earlier and the chill in the air drops lower and lower, the weather serves as a familiar reminder that the holiday season is just around the corner!
As we gather around our tables next week and review all that we have to be thankful for, please know that you - our wonderful volunteers, donors and supporters - are at the top of our list. You are the reason that we can provide comfort and care and a home-away-from-home to over 5,000 families each year.
Thank you.
Michelle Study-Campbell, CEO

At just six-weeks old, little Lexi from Roachdale, IN was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Her diagnosis was so severe that she was immediately scheduled for surgery that week. By age 6, she had undergone three major operations, yet her heart still failed to function properly. At age 11, Lexi went into complete heart failure and was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Miles from home, parents Rexanne and Benjamin did not know where to turn for a safe and affordable place to stay. Then they learned about the Ronald McDonald House.
"I had no idea what to expect. I did not know that I would basically be walking into a nice little home. We were able to be a family and our daughters were able to be together. We really valued that," said Rexanne.
Just six weeks later, doctors were able to give Lexi a brand new heart - and a chance at a brand new life. During their time at the hospital, the Ronald McDonald House provided the Fuchs family with a place of refuge and the ability to be together at a time when they needed it most.

Black Friday. Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday.
The holidays are so busy! Between the cooking, feasting and shopping, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that this is also the season of giving. That's why after we enjoy our Thanksgiving feasts, and survive the shopping madness on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we celebrate #GivingTuesday - a day dedicated to giving back to causes we love.
Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. This year, the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana invites you to kick-off the season of giving with us! Join us in this global movement by becoming a #GivingTuesday "Hero of the House". This will be a day-long fundraising challenge that will begin and end on December 1, concluding with our "Home for the Holidays" Open House.
