We have received the following additional information from
Daryl Anthony, Assistant Secretary for Land Resources at the DNR:
"As part of the state's due diligence review and title examination, restrictive covenants were discovered on the Turkey Neck property, which make it unfeasible to pursue the planned purchase. The department will continue to work to enhance and improve public access to our state's natural resources, including Deep Creek Lake."
