Greetings and blessings! First, let me say thank you to all of you who have helped promote The Bishop's 21st Annual Catholic Pro-Life Dinner on April 5. We are looking forward to seeing so many parishes this Saturday! After the Dinner, please be sure to pick up the yard signs at your parish and return them at the next Parish Pro-Life Coordinators Meeting on May 10 at Prince of Peace (or to the CPLC office, 14200 Midway, Suite 120).

I hope you are enjoying a blessed and meaningful Lenten season. Two wonderful opportunities to prayerfully experience Lent are coming up: the Quarterly Mass, Adoration & Rosary Procession on April 12 and the Good Friday Pro-Life Stations of the Cross on April 18 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. outside the Southwestern late-term abortion center, led by our Cistercian Fathers Paul and Ambrose. If you haven't experienced Good Friday with us before, I strongly encourage you to be a part of this incredible Triduum experience!

We also have a very special announcement about a brand new program: Project Joseph -- an outreach for men suffering from abortion. While men have always and continue to be welcome on our Rachel's Vineyard™ Retreats, this new outreach will uniquely serve men, many of whom suffer in silence with continuing grief, anger, and guilt. Eileen Kuhlmann, Director of the CPLC's Abortion AfterCare-Healing / The Rachel Ministries, will soon be sending you an email with more details and promotional items for this outreach for men by men. Please help us to spread the word about this life-changing opportunity for healing.

Please also mark your calendars for the following events:

As we enter the second half of Lent, our thoughts turn to the Passion of Christ and His crucifixion. Recall that even after His humiliation, He was always a true image of love. On the cross He said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." As we reflect on these words, we should remember all those who, for whatever reason, chose abortion. We should not only help them find forgiveness through Christ's mercy, but also help them to forgive themselves. For it is through love and forgiveness that we have been allowed to enter heaven.

Speaking of mercy, let us rejoice with the universal Church as Blessed Popes John XXIII and John Paul II are canonized as Saints on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27.

Thank you for all you do for life, and may you have a most beautiful Easter and Easter Season!

Blessings,

David
