Workforce Planning Hamilton's 2014 Hire Learning Survey featured in the Hamilton Spectator

hire learning initiative WPH's recent project to collect Hamilton's real-time local labour market information was highlighted in the Hamilton Spectator. 

The Hire Learning Survey will be released annually.  The survey indicates the types of employment and educational requirements in Hamilton, recruitment, employment outlook, skills requirements, and 10 things to know about Hamilton's labour market in 2014.

Women have had lower employment and higher poverty levels before, during and after the recession. Young women in Ontario experienced nearly double the rate of decline in their employment as young men, while more older women are continuing to stay in the workforce.
