The Oakland Super Heroes Project is about to begin the 3rd mural on West Street under the 580 freeway! Funds raised will be used to purchase high quality materials, and to pay our artists for the hundreds of hours required to produce murals of this scale.
With your help, the Oakland Superheroes Mural Project will:
- Create a large-scale public art piece in West Oakland.
- Employ 1 lead artist and 10 supporting muralists.
- Allow local youth to be civically engaged, discover their voices, and envision a bright future, inspiring future generations to do the same.
- Beautify the community.
- Stimulate the local economy.
- Offset blight.
