THE LEAD DOG

WHEN DOGS ARE IN A PACK, THERE IS ALWAYS ONE THAT RISES UP TO BE THE ALPHA DOG. THESE DOGS EXHIBIT AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR TO GAIN DOMINANCE OVER THE PACK.

TO AN EXTENT, WE ARE NOW IN THAT WAITING GAME OF DRAMA TO SEE WHO BECOMES THAT LEADER IN IRAQ. THE CBI'S EMBARRASSMENT OVER A DYSFUNCTIONAL GOI IS IN PART A RESULT OF FACING GENERATIONAL HABITS OF TRIBAL STRIFE.

Update on Iraq June 21, 2014 By Dr. Stephen Jones

Yesterday it was reported that al Sistani, the spiritual leader of the Shiites in Iraq, is now calling for al Maliki to step down rather than seek a third term as Prime Minister.

I am always a little skeptical and cautious about news reports or rumors coming out of Iraq, but this is now being reported by the mainstream media as well.
Since Maliki himself is a Shiite from a Shiite political party, it hardly seems possible that the parliamentarians from his party would ignore his call and nominate Maliki when they meet next week.

So it appears that al Sistani has given Maliki the kiss of death.

Their Constitution, by the way, dictates that they are supposed to meet within 15 days of the ratification of the elections (June 16).

islandg1211:If Maliki wants a third term, yet his own party wants Chalibi, and the IMF, CBI, UN and the US want a stable government - which implies following Iraq's Constitutional election proceedures, wouldn't Maliki have to be nominated, then elected by the new seated government and not by any agreement?

Last time, Maliki lost the election, stayed on to contest it, got a an agreement out of Bidon, and everyone suffered. That being said, wouldn't Maliki really being pushing to get the CBI to come out with a reality rate this week so he could take credit and actually get himself properly nominated for PM?

Frank26: Friend ........ It it difficult to guesstimate M's thinking because he rarely does. It is more instinctual. Evil thoughts usually are. Without logic nor consideration of the outcome.

As I said on M / T and Sat CC's .......... What truly happened in Mosul has now given the Kurds back their land and then the other 6 results we mentioned that blossomed too.............

That is pretty much (not exactly) how it will play out. The only piece he (Tlar's TImeline) left out was the passing of the budget of 2014/2015.

All looks very good ahead.   Here some some things to watch for:

    The naming of the President of the new parliament

    Immediately after that, the official naming of the new Prime Minister (FYI, it will not be Maliki under any condition)

    The passing of the budget

    The closing of the borders (this may or may not happen as this all will go down very fast)

Many are sill predicting Maliki will remain in power, but I will stick to my post from last Tuesday. Each and every day gets more exciting. This very well could be a great upcoming holiday.   Blessing to all. Steve (Peoples Dinar)

I am still on phone only in Austin. Somebody asked question on another thread if I still think July 1st date is good. Quite simply, yes. What is important to watch for is steps..

Step one.   New government is formed next week.

Step two. World governments immediately recognize new government in Iraq as legitimate government.

Step three.   Maliki leaves country or is arrested or is assassinated. Sunnis will join forces with kurds and Shia to expel ISIS.

Step four:   Turki will pull trigger the minute there is a new government and Maliki has been dealt with.

Specialists: the presidency will call the new parliament to work during the next two days

Will we see Parliament getting together for a session in the next two days? So says the voice of the President....through his Vice President Khodair.....originally the initial meeting was to be held June 30, but in staying with legal precedent the meeting will now be convened much sooner.......we shall see what happens.

PM Barzani: Maliki should step down

Barzani is talking sense, something that Maliki doesn't seem to want to listen to......step down now.....allow the country to pull itself back together.....there has been 8 years of continuous turmoil and with no end in sight.....enough is enough.....Barzani talks of a political solution, not a military one.....but agrees with the US troop involvement as a "good step"......Maliki needs to pay attention to the music....are they playing a dirge.....for an exit?

The Problem with Making Assumptions

We all make assumptions. We do it all the time. These assumptions can be about pretty much anyone or anything.

It's so easy to think that we know what's going on in someone else's head. It's no problem for us to imagine that we understand why a person has taken a particular course of action. We don't really know; we make a guess based on our imagination, past experiences or wishful thinking.

It's also no big deal for us to decide, arbitrarily, why an event has taken place. We don't base this decision on observable evidence or factual knowledge; we just make the decision and believe it, as if it were fact.

OUR FIRST CLUE

THURSDAY JUNE 19 WAS OUR FIRST CLUE THAT SOMETHING WAS UP ! AS I'VE MENTIONED MANY TIMES NOW THE DINAR WAS HALTED FROM TRADING AFTER A DAY THAT SEEMED TOTALLY NORMAL FOR THE DINAR. IT ENDED NORMALLY WITHIN IT'S PROGRAMED TRADING RANGE. IT ENDED UP FOR THE DAY AROUND THE 1163 RANGE.

SINCE THAT IS UP, NOT DOWN FOR THE DAY ONE CAN HARDLY LOOK AT A PANIC SITUATION. RIGHT ? MMMM THEN, OZ (CBI,IMF,WB,U.S.T.), DECIDES TO MOVE THE RATE SIGNIFICANTLY UPWARDS TO A DESIRED RATE OF 1116.9. MMMM INTERESTING PRICE SINCE IT GOT THERE WITH PRE-DETERMINATION AND NO TRADING.

MR. T CONFIRMS THAT SECURITY WILL NOT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE CURRENCY BUT HE GOES ON TO SAY THAT THE RECENT SECURITY PROBLEM IN IRAQ IS A RESULT OF THE GREAT POWER OF THE IRAQI DINAR AND THE NEED TO PROTECT IT'S VALUE !! THIS IS MORE THAN HUGE TO ME !

HE THEN SAYS, THE CBI HAS STUDIED THE COURSE OR DIRECTION OF THE SECURITY ISSUES AND IT'S IMPACT ON THE CURRENCY !

HE THEN GOES ON TO CONFIDENTLY STATE THAT THE CBI'S FOREIGN CURRENCY RESERVES AND 70 BILLION DINARS CAN CONTROL THE RATE BETWEEN THE DOLLAR AND THE DINAR !!
