Join a LifeGroup at our next GroupLink Event!

At this LifeGroup launch event you'll be able to meet other people interested in getting in a LifeGroup, talk to those already in one, and find a group that fits you in person. Childcare will also be provided.

3. The Pantry is the Charity of the Month at Burger 21!
On Monday, September 21, Burger 21 Mall of Georgia location in Buford will donate 10% of the day's proceeds to The Pantry. 

Each month on the 21st, Burger 21 teams with a local charity and has donated more than $120,000 to local schools and charities. Every Monday is Burger of the Month Monday for $8.99, so come out & try a new burger while we raise money for The Pantry!

4. FYI 55+ Trip

Join Pastor Jason for a memorable trip that includes a visit to the Billy Graham Library, where we will learn more about our church beliefs, and a two night stay at the Terrace Lodge in Lake Junaluska. 5. Calling All Singers
The Chancel Choir is growing and we'd like to invite all singers who would like to come lift your voice in worship as part of the Chancel Choir to come to rehearsal on our new day - TUESDAY from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  We know that many of our congregation wanted to participate in other adult discipleship opportunities on Wednesdays, so it was decided to change choir practice to Tuesday in an attempt to attract additional choir members.  Come give Tuesday night choir practice (with our new Minister of Music and Worship) a try this Tuesday!

6. Student Ministry
Student FALL RETREAT

October 16-18, 2015

It's time for all 6th-12th graders to register for the best weekend of the entire year!  We're headed to Ocoee Retreat Center for a weekend full of blessings - worship, inspiring messages, time with friends and leaders, and of course, our annual Color Wars!  Early Bird registration (through September 1st is $169 per student. After September 1st, cost will increase to $199 per person.  Space is limited, so register your student early!  


Ignite Sunday Night Dinner Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help feed our high school students a snack dinner on Sunday nights at 5:30pm. This is the perfect opportunity for a Small Group, LifeGroup, Sunday School Class or just a group of friends to have fun serving together. If you or your group would be willing to provide a meal for our high school students, we would greatly appreciate your help! They love to eat! 

7. Crosstown Kids
Third Grade Bibles 

Sunday, September 27 at the 9:30am and 11:00am services
One of our favorite days is just around the corner! Third grade students will receive a Bible during the 9:30am or 11:00am worship services. Please sign up by September 20, so that your third grader will receive their Bible.

Preschool Open House - September 2 & 3

The Preschool Open House for the Monday/Wednesday twos, all the threes, and the fives class is on September 2 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Open House for the Tuesday/Thursday twos, and all the fours is September 3 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Preschool classes start September 8. We have openings in our five day five year old class. 9. "Piecemakers" Quilting Ministry Fundraiser

Stop by our ministry table on Sunday, September 13 and September 20 before or after services or during Wednesday Night Supper on September 9 and 16 to sponsor a quilt and/or learn more about the quilting ministry.

Join your church family for a great night of fellowship and a home cooked meal prepared by our talented Kitchen Angels. 

Tonight's Meal:
Meatloaf served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The kids' meal will be Sloppy Joe's served with french fries and green beans.

Book Fair Tonight!
The HMUMC Preschool Book Fair will be open during Wednesday Night Supper on September 2. We will have books for young children as well as Adult Christian books. Make sure you stop by and support the Preschool.

The 5th Grade Praise Team

Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 7:45pm 
     
The Praise Team is an amazing and fun leadership opportunity for all rising 5th graders. This high-energy team leads worship and serves as important role models for the younger grades. Practice on Wednesdays will include 30 minutes of devotional/leadership training and 45 minutes of intense worship fun! Team roles include on stage, backstage and audio visual assistants. 5th graders will be scheduled on a rotational basis to lead worship on the Rooftop during the 9:30am and 11:00am worship hours on Sunday mornings.

What's in the Bible for Crosstown Kids! - 6:30pm to 7:45pm
 

 
Parents, you can relax and truly enjoy your Wednesday Night - CONNECT time knowing that downstairs your children are having a blast! Kids will love our new program What's in the Bible, an interactive series with video, music, activities and an awesome take home sheet.

* If you are going to be in an adult Bible study that runs until 7:45pm, your children will go to Popcorn and Movie or to the playground at 7:30pm.
