The gong has been used for thousands of years as an important  tool for healing and meditation. As you  begin to focus on your breath and open the body's chakras (energy centers), the waves of sound carry your body and mind to a place of inner peace and connection.

  Namaste'

Regina and Shakti!

Shakti is the lastest edition to our home. She is a 4 month old Australian Sheppard and Standard Poodle mix  (Aussie Doodle or Aussie Poo) ... she is a Puppy and she has the creative energy her name describes.

She certainly has a way of teaching this ole'dog new tricks... Just the other day on one of our walks (to do her business)... I noticed how easily she is distracted. The excitement of the wind blowing a leaf here, a sniff of the ground,  another dog to play with, a person to greet with a big hello and each time I find myself tugging her back to focus on our walk the distractions prolong her from "doing her business"

We may have a goal in mind each day as we set out on our walk through life to do "our business" ,  yet the distractions entertain us or prolong us... depending on how mindful we are of our surroundings.

Our yoga mat is a place to practice focus, while enhancing our level of awareness so when we step off the mat we walk through our daily life with the creative energy of Shakti!

Be blessed on the Path of healthy life,

Regina

Opening the Gateway of the Pelvis and Legs
With Ed Dailey RN, E-RYT

Saturday April 19th, 2014
12:00 noon - 2:30pm
$30 advanced
$40 at the door

The knee and hip joints are being replaced in this country at an alarming rate. Problems with the feet are on the rise as well. Yoga practice with correct attention to "intelligent alignment" can help the longevity of these joints. In this workshop we will teach how to address  hip and knee problems through a system approach of standing poses and use of props. By creating a sense of stability and fluidity in the pelvis and legs we then begin to change habitual patterns and confusion about alignment and sense of direction.

This class is open to all levels and will be mostly asana with  some pranaygama.
