Starr Busby's back!

Starr is a Brooklyn based singer/songwriter/actress originally from Houston, TX. Her music combines her southern gospel roots with various influences from Bjork to Bobby McFerrin. During her time in New York, Starr has appeared in various plays and musicals, as well as, lent her support to other singer/songwriters as a backing vocalist. As a backing vocalist, Starr had the opportunity to tour Europe with Naomi Shelton and The Gospel Queens- a Funk/Gospel band on the Daptone Label. In January 2012, Starr released her first EP Bedroom Musings available via her website, www.starrmuzik.com. 

 

Maria Sokolovsky (vocals) is a true powerhouse, with strong exciting voice and explosive energy, tastefully combined with the sensibility and skills of an old-fashioned artist. She is a classically trained opera singer and a graduate of Mannes College of Music.
Dmitry Sokolovsky (button accordion) is a graduate of Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, where he initially studied classical and folk music, later expanding towards jazz and world music. >> Read More
