OUTDOOR TO DO'S
-Fall is a great time to plant since things are going dormant and all the energy is focused on the roots.
Be sure to give evergreens water for the next month if possible.
-Fall bulbs can be planted now for a burst of color early next spring.
-Perennials can be cleaned up now or in the spring. I like to leave anything that provides cover and food for the birds. Also many plants provide winter interest either with colorful stems or interesting effects when covered with snow.
-Roses should all be left alone until spring-simply push mulch up around the base of the plant for the winter.
-Burlap screens should be put up for any evergreens that will be hit with winter winds.
-Deer Repellent can be applied now for winter protection
-The mild fall we are having is also great for hanging Christmas lights!
