Art & English Collaborative Project
A current library art display is a collaboration between Mr. Dobberstein's Literature class and three of Ms. Bloomer's Drawing classes. One of the hours the literature and art students paired up to plan an illustration from a short horror story that the English student read. They worked together as if they were author and illustrator. They shared the story line, layout ideas for the drawing , and medium choices.
Two of the drawing classes were paired in small groups which had to choose a short story with a horror theme to read and illustrate. Students could brainstorm ideas within their small group about story line choices for illustration, layout ideas, and critique each other's work while in progress.

Educational Spotlight - Rehabilitation Psychology at UW-Madison
The Rehabilitation Psychology program at UW-Madison prepares it students to promote and support the independence and full societal inclusion of people with disabilities in employment and the community.  Rehab Psych majors work with individuals with physical, mental, cognitive, emotional, and developmental disabilities.  Graduates support clients around job placement, workplace performance, and independent living at home and in the community.  In their first two years of study, R.P. majors complete core course work in psychology, educational psychology, sociology, and social work, along with classes in the liberal arts.  Juniors and seniors take specialized course work, becoming familiar with issues of disability advocacy and the agencies, programs, and program models that serve persons with disabilities.   All students participate in intensive, applied, community-based experiences working with persons with disabilities.   For more information, visit   https://rpse.education.wisc.edu/.
