 Good Friday Service Today at Noon
We participate in the community Good Friday service at noon at the Martha Mary Chapel at the Wayside Inn. We join with other congregations from Sudbury to remember Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
Jesus did not exclude Judas the betrayer from the last supper. So when Jesus raised the cup and said it was a new covenant in his blood for the forgiveness of sins, he wasn't talking to people with a short list of minor sins. He was talking to people who betray and run away. He was also talking to people like us, saying in effect, "Look, I know who you are and what you do and I forgive you anyway. I'm going to the cross to prove it."

Worship this week - Easter - April 20th
|
Dr. McIvor's sermon is "Come, See, Go, Tell" based on Matthew 28.1-10. As Matthew tells it, two Marys went to Jesus' tomb early Sunday morning. They saw an angel who told them the amazing news that Jesus was raised from the dead. Then the angel told them to do four things: come, see, go, tell. Followers of Jesus have been doing that ever since that first Easter morning.

Easter Egg Hunt
Immediately following the 9:30 service, children of all ages are invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt outside around the church. We will meet in the foyer.

The Great Vigil of Easter
Saturday, 9:00pm
On Saturday night we observe the Great Vigil of Easter beginning at 9:00pm. Once again we hear scripture's story of salvation, renew our baptismal vows, and come to the Lord's Table.

It's that time of year again when we pick a day and all pitch in to help provide for the upkeep of our church. Spring Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00am-2:00pm. If you have questions, contact Barry Fiske.

YouthServe Work Days
New Opportunities!
The PCiS Youth Groups will be offering their time and services again to help members complete projects around the house on May 10th. As part of this fundraising effort, you also have the choice to sponsor a teen while they work at the church on Spring Work Day. Community Day Center of Waltham News
As a local outreach mission focus for PCiS, we were pleased to hear from the center's Executive Director, Marilyn Lee-Tom, that they are close to meeting their capital campaign goal to fund renovations to 16 Felton St. and to spread the word that more help is needed. This property will provide guests with expanded services. Check out their recent post "We Are So Close" on Facebook and consider sharing with friends as well.
