NRMP Announces New
Research Advisory Committee 
The NRMP Board of Directors has convened a 10-member Research Advisory Committee to establish new partnerships with nationally-recognized researchers and medical education organizations. In addition to individual members, the Committee includes representatives from AMA, AOA, AACOM, AAMC, ECFMG, FSMB, and NBME. The Committee, which is advisory to the NRMP's Data Release and Research Committee (DRRC), will hold its first meeting on August 6 to discuss initiatives that will address issues important to the GME community.

POLICY UPDATE!
Be Informed for the Upcoming Match Season
At its May 2014 meeting, the NRMP Board of Directors amended Match Participation Agreements for the upcoming Match season. Of particular importance is new language codifying the role of the program coordinator to vet applicant eligibility, update program information, and enter rank order lists. Also of importance are changes to the waiver review process and how NRMP uses applicant and program information. Please take a few moments to review NRMP policy documents so you are aware of these and other important changes for the 2015 Main Residency Match and the 2015 fellowship appointment year.
