This new body of work considers the notion of portraiture applied to
objects and clothing.
My subject matter is drawn from my personal history - family, and
includes personal objects, clothing, home movies, music, and
photographs. These things hold memory and meaning and are
where I find my inspiration.
By commemorating family history, and recording slices of time,
these untraditional portraits capture just a glimpse of my father and
define his unique character.
The format of the pieces jump in scale from very small and intimate
to large and substantial and include a range from studies to finished
pieces. Also included is a reworked home movie with added music -
"Flight of the Bumblebee".
