Make-A-Wish invites you to experience  the power of a wish in action by being a part of a very special day for a very special girl: Alyssa.

Alyssa is six- years-old and lives in the greater Sacramento area with her family.  Like most girls her
age, Alyssa is fascinated with the color pink and
anything Disney. She absolutely loves the princesses
and if she were to have to pick a favorite character, it would be Tinker Bell! While Alyssa is very much like
the All-American little girl, she and her family have the unfortunate battle of enduring the life-threatening
medical condition of a brain tumor. 

Life for Alyssa and her family changed forever in
June of 2012. Alyssa, just four-years-old at the time, began having flu-like symptoms and her parents
started to notice that she was slurring her words. Her world changed from playing with her dolls to having to battle something that no child should have to. Alyssa began chemotherapy treatments immediately to shrink 

the tumor, having her last dose in October of 2013. 

 Alyssa's life is returning to her "new normal", which includes seeing the doctor once a month and having MRI's every three months.
