NE SciFest STEM Workshops

Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Roskens Hall - University of Nebraska - Omaha

Scouts and families are invited to enjoy FREE, multiple hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) stations presented by the College of Education in

an expo-style event.

Students may rotate through various hands-on activities such as launching a straw rocket, creating a balsa wood plane to take home, and playing with different kinds of robots!  

 

It's Science!  It's fun!  It's free!  Check in at the Milo Bail Student Center Fireside Lounge from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Come and go and stay as long as you want at each station. See map of UNO campusParking will be FREE in any lot on the UNO campus.  Bring a sack lunch.  UNO cafeterias are closed on Saturdays. 

 

The Mid-America Council is promoting the 2014 Nebraska Science Festival, which features an array of FREE science and technology-related activities designed to make science accessible, interactive, relevant and fun for youth and adults alike. The Science Festival supports the Boy Scouts of America NOVA Awards program.
