The Basics of Buying or Selling a Business

Do you want to buy a business or do you have a business you would like to sell? If you are thinking of buying or selling a business it’s probably a new experience for you.  The process may seem complicated.  How do you find the right business or the right buyer? And what is the right price?  Advisors may help, but ultimately it’s not their money, time or effort at risk.  This workshop will help answer:

  1. Are you really a buyer or seller?
  2. How and where should you search for a business or find a buyer?
  3. How do you value a business?
  4. What are common issues and problems encountered in a business sale?
  5. What is Due Diligence?
  6. What will you need to do to finalize a business acquisition?

Avoid common mistakes by asking the right questions and understanding how the process works!

Please note that you are not required to identify yourself as either a buyer or a seller.  We understand and respect the desire of attendees to keep this confidential.

Who Should Attend?

  • Any business owner considering sale of the business
