Young Guns of Shiloh Car Caravan Tour

Shiloh, Tennessee: Join Shiloh National Military Park on Saturday, October 31st, for a ranger led car caravan tour entitled "Young Guns of Shiloh".

This car caravan program will start at the Shiloh Visitor Center at 2PM, and follow the actions of two young men in blue and two in grey during the Battle of Shiloh. The program will visit the places on the battlefield where they rose to the new challenge and explore how they went on to become generals. The program will conclude with a discussion of their post war careers.

For more information or to register for the tour call the park's Visitor Center at (731) 689-5696. Shiloh Battlefield is online at www.ps.gov/shil  and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ShilohNMP.

Useful Tips for Small Business Owners/Managers
Assess Your Operations On A Regular Basis

Fine tuning an already successful operation will add more dollars to the revenues but discovering problems that may exist, which are repairable before major damage may occur, will certainly be worth the time and expense to a business owner. Even though red flags may have been appearing to the owner regarding small problems, the lack of action may tend to cause large problems that, in some cases, may not be reversible, even if corrective measures are taken. Suggested items for consideration on an ONGOING basis should be:

- Regular review of internal functions involving cash flow, working capital, record keeping, administration, marketing and personnel.

If you would like more information about this topic or to discuss your business needs, a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL visit with Ron Acree, Director of the TN Small Business Development Center, (JSCC), may be helpful. Contact the Chamber office at (731)968-2126 to schedule an appointment during the date of his monthly visit there. This business counseling is offered as an additional service of YOUR Chamber of Commerce.
