Worship with us this Sunday!

Please join us for worship this Sunday at our Traditional Service (the Choir is back from summer break!) at 9:30am and/or our Informal Service at 11:00am (Cassie Schulenburg is back as our guest vocalist) where our scriptures are Psalm 19 and Mark 8:27-29 with a sermon entitled Name Tag. Jesus and the disciples were traveling in and out of villages. He asked the disciples who people said he was. There were a few answers. What old and new names, roles, images do we use when we ponder and experience Jesus?

Joke
Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft. Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too.

Inspiration
When Jesus was born, his light lit our path:
A path of sacred wisdom,
A path of forgiveness,
A path of evolutionary grace,
A path of compassion for the left-behinds,
A path that makes room for all,
Human and other-than-human,
At the banquet of life
