Back-to-School Meet and Greet & Family BBQ This Sunday, August 30, 10:00 -12:30!
Meet and Greet -
Parents and students are all invited to meet their child's teacher and other classmates, and find out about the exciting programs that will be going on during the school year. This is a family event, and parents must accompany their children.
The meet and greet timeframe is a drop-in and open house from 10:00 -10:40. Then please join the clergy in the sanctuary at about 10:40, followed by a family BBQ sponsored by the TBC Men's Club and Sisterhood.
Back to School Barbeque -
The TBC Men's Club & Sisterhood BBQ will follow the School's Meet and Greet, from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.
We will be barbequing hamburgers and veggie burgers for children, parents and teachers. Can't wait to cook up a storm for the crowd. It should be fun!
Volunteers are still needed to help!

Sending Honey is a thoughtful way to wish your TBC friends and family a Happy and Sweet New Year! It's easy - here's how:
For TBC members, the first jar you send is $12.00 and each subsequent jar is $8.00. Recipients will be notified by email and will receive their honey at Rosh Hashanah services.
Erev Rosh Hashanah is September 13 so
honey orders are due no later than Thursday, September 3

Prepare for the High Holy Days Erev Rosh Hashanah is September 13!
From the Rabbi ....
The High Holy Days will be here soon! During Elul, Jews have traditionally set aside part of each day to study and prepare for the High Holy Days (HHD's). This custom allowed Jewish people to encounter and grapple with the themes of the HHD's well before they ever arrived for services.

Adult Ed Committee Volunteers Needed!

. A meeting will be scheduled in the next days to determine the adult ed program for the coming year. Committee members will assist with one or more events. Come help provide TBC members with life-long Jewish learning, and engaging and memorable educational experiences!

TBC Diaper Collection Project!
The TBC Social Action Committee is seeking donations of diapers and wipes to benefit the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Stamford, and Person-to-Person, Norwalk. For most parents, diapers for babies is a given. If you are living in poverty, however, they are often a luxury.
