GISC's first field trip of the school year was to the Morton Arboretum on Tuesday, October 8. The Kindergarten through 4th grade classes traveled by school bus (sponsored by the GISC Parent Organization) to the arboretum, where the students documented what they learned about the forest, its plants, and animals in a Waldlexikon and created pieces of art. It was a fun and informative day for all!

Thanks to a thorough evaluation sheet and detailed teacher notes, parents were able to get a good idea of what their kids have already mastered and where the learning focus will be in the coming months.
