There are many exciting ways to get involved with Catholic Charities in August!
New Look, Same Dedicated Mission
It is a time of renewal for our e-newsletter! The look has changed, yet our mission to help those in need remains as strong as ever. We continue to look at our programs to best serve our clients and make the most of donations and volunteers. We hope this newsletter will inspire you to connect with Catholic Charities and find a way to be a part of our mission!

A Note of Thanks from a Guest

Dear St. Joseph Staff,

Well it's been little over a month since we moved into our new home. And we are getting well adjusted to having a home again. And we owe it all to you and your program. We will forever be in your debt. We are writing this to say thank you all so very much for everything. You were a godsend and a blessing when we needed help the most. Without you and your program I don't know where me and my family would have gone, or where we would be now. Each and every one of you guys are the best.

The way you treated us was the shot in the arm we needed when we lost all hope. You treated us with dignity and respect. And we are so grateful for that. And you do that very same thing each and every day with every last soul who reaches out and asks you for help. And you do it asking for nothing in return. Well, I know this much. Each and every one of you will have a spot in heaven one day. You're all saints in our eyes. Thank each and every one of you once again. You indeed now have a friend in each of us.

Thank you, Your Friends [names withheld]

Monthly Giving - A Stream of Hope to Those In Need

"Poverty calls us to sow hope.... Poverty is the flesh of the poor Jesus, in that child who is hungry, in the one who is sick, in those unjust social structures." (Pope Francis, Meeting with Students of Jesuit Schools-Q&A, 6/7/13)

Catholic Charities' programs help those in need 365 days a year and have been doing that for over 90 years! We are indebted to our generous donors and volunteers and continually look for ways to best use the gifts we are given. By signing up for monthly giving, you become a stream of hope for thousands of people in central and southwest Iowa. This commitment blesses Catholic Charities' programs with stability, allowing more focus on those in need. Sign up today!
