Winter Weather Reminder: If severe weather requires a service or event to be canceled, every effort will be made to notify church members. Information can be found on the church's website, at WBZ (look under "school closings"), and on our telephone's recorded message (978-443-9151). Remember to use good judgment and don't venture out if conditions feel unsafe.

Worship this week - March 2nd
|
Our special guests are Glenna Waller, president of Little Children of the Philippines (LCP) and LCP staff member, Marie Lou Abbott. Marie Lou grew up in Dumaguete City and her sister was sponsored by members of PCIS. As a result, Marie Lou and her family found their way out of a life of poverty. During the service, Marie Lou and Glenna will share a powerful witness about the impact that the preschools and child sponsorship have on the lives of families like Marie Lou's. You won't want to miss the moving testimony of this "sermon"!
Don't miss Fellowship Time!
During the fellowship time between the services (10:30-11:00am), we will be showing a four-minute video that our friends in the preschools made for us. For those of you who attend the 11:00am service, you may want to come a little early to view it.

Meats & Sweets!
On Sunday, March 16th from 6:00-8:00pm, we will have a unique fundraising event. Meats and Sweets includes a Chili Cookoff and and apple pie auction! The apple pies to be auctioned will be made by our students attending the mission trips (with much love & care and the assistance of a select few head bakers.) Cost is only $5/person, $15/family for chili and, if you choose to participate in the auction, whatever your winning bid may be on an apple pie! So bring your best recipe! (Or just eat!) Sign up and let us know how many people are coming and if you are bringing some chili, salad or bread. Proceeds will help fund the Youth Group Mission trips.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is March 5th. Lent is the forty-day period (not counting Sundays) before Easter. Our Lenten observance starts with worship on Ash Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary. The Lord's Supper will be served and ashes imposed, for those so desiring, to begin this penitential season.

YouthServe
The PCiS Youth Groups will be offering their time and services to help members complete projects around the house - from yard work and painting to babysitting and snow removal as part of a fundraising effort. We want your photo in the new PCiS Directory!
Many of you have already had your photo taken or have submitted one to the office, but we are still missing many faces! Being able to put a face with a name makes it easier to make connections. Send us one of those family photos you took on vacation, or your facebook profile pic, etc. Just email your family or individual photo to the office (or drop one off.)
