This Sunday we will conclude our series, "Marks of a Missional Community" by exploring the resurrection of Jesus. Because Jesus has conquered sin and death we are a community of hope. As NT Wright says, "Easter was when hope in person surprised the whole world by coming forward from the future into the present. Jesus' resurrection is the beginning of God's new project not to snatch people away from earth to heaven but to colonize earth with the life of heaven."  I look forward to celebrating with you on Sunday! We will be singing a new song called "He Is Risen" and in advance of our gathering you can watch a live performance from co-writer, Paul Baloche

On Saturday April 26 at 7 pm, Doug and Laurie Rabeneck will host a house concert with The Sparks. Greg and Rebecca Sparks will share an intimate evening of music featuring songs from their latest project, "Love."  Space is limited so let Laurie know if you're interested in attending ASAP.

On Sunday April 27, we will continue our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ with an inter-generational WE event! During this event, Amazing Love, we'll enter into the story of Jesus' death and resurrection. Be a part of this gathering as all ages come together to learn, worship, and praise God for the amazing way God chose to save the world.

As well on April 27, we will serve dinner at Shepherd's Heart Fellowship. Because of kitchen construction, we've planned a fully cooked meal that just needs to be combined and reheated. See Ellen Smith in the lobby on Sunday (or email her ) to sign up to prepare food or help onsite with preparation (3-5 pm) or serving and clean-up (6-8 pm). We especially need strong hands and feet for carrying food and supplies, as we won't be able to use the elevator this time. Our simple efforts are received by that group with such gratitude. What a way to continue in the Easter story!

On May 4, we will celebrate the blessing of child sponsorship. Do you sponsor a child in Uganda, Ethiopia, or elsewhere? Has it had an impact on you or your family as well as your sponsored child? We would love to hear your story; please contact Carole Craft.

Stay connected,
