FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Monday, August 24th, 2015

Your child does not have to bring anything for the first day of school. We will have the students work on inclusion activities to get to know their classmates and the PTA will provide lunch for all the students.

Before school, all students will be in the cafeteria. At 7:35, students will be dismissed to their assigned areas.

6th & 7th grade students will start the day in the gym and then move with their teachers to the classrooms.

8th grade students will start in the library and then move with their teachers to the classrooms.

Please Note: We usually allow parents to wander around with their kids when dropping off on the first day and then have a meeting with Jill to go over general information. Due to the enormous difficulties associated with parking and being on a new campus, this meeting will take place on September 24th at our Open House. Be prepared to allow your child to take the bus or use parent drive to drop them off. 

 

Attention CSA Parents: Your PTA needs you! 
 We need someone to be the Odyssey of the Mind coordinator for CSA. 
 
You don't have to coach a team; you only have to publicize the program and coordinate the teams and coaches.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international problem-solving competition. Each year, kids work in small teams to solve a designated problem, coached by parent or teacher volunteers. Odyssey of the Mind emphasizes creativity, teamwork, cooperation, problem-solving, artistic & performance opportunities and fun! It is a wonderful program and CSA teams have been very successful in recent years. Please help us keep this program going!

As a reminder, all volunteers must register and gain approval before starting volunteer service each year. If you were approved to volunteer during the 2014-15 school year, your status is valid until October 1, 2015. After that point, all returning volunteers need to be re-registered and approved for the 2015-16 school year. *Please note: Volunteers who apply using a valid email address will now automatically receive an email from SBISD once you are approved to volunteer.
