STAND FOR CHILDREN MARCH & RALLY
CAPITOL BLDG., L STREET STEPS
WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2014
FROM 10 AM - 2 PM

Parent Voices' most powerful day of the year is coming! Meet at the state Capitol in Sacramento for a rally to support children and to advocate to "rebuild the child care infrastructure, which is hanging on by a thread," according to Mary Ignatius of Parent Voices, the parent-led grassroots group organizing the annual event. Parents, children, and child care supporters from across the state will march, rally, and visit legislators to advocate for quality, affordable child care. Join us! Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10 am on the L Street steps of the Capitol.

"We believe that reinvesting in child care is critical to ensure more families can work, remain contributing taxpayers and participate in California's economic recovery."

- Latifa Lewis, a mother of two daughters from Oakland

PROVIDER APPRECIATION DAY
FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2014

Provider Appreciation Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate child care providers, teachers or that special person in your child's life who spends their time nurturing and supporting them.

These committed and passionate people make it possible for parents to go to work, knowing their child is being well taken care of in a caring supportive environment.

Child Action, Inc. is focused on the needs of children and families and believes that every child should be provided the best possible care. Join us in showing our appreciation and express to them how much they mean to all of us.

Visit www.providerappreciationday.org for Provider Appreciation Day ideas.
