24/7 King Centre
The King Centre is open 24/7 until April 30th. Cardinal Carter Library is open from 8 a.m. - 12 midnight until April 29th, and 8 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. on April 30th. Please visit our website for policies, as well as hours for Tim Hortons and Thames Market during exams.
Did you know King's offers taxi chits?
A free taxi service is available between King's, Western and Brescia (limit $11). Chits are available at the Library Circulation Desk between 10:30 p.m. and midnight, and through campus security from midnight to 8 a.m. Western Foot Patrol (519-661-3650) provides a co-ed escort from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. daily and will walk with you to your car, bus stop, or other buildings on King's and main campus, and some off-campus locations. If you're studying at main campus, USC offers a free shuttle bus service from 12:30 a.m. - 3 a.m. until April 19th, and 12:30 a.m. - 2:30 a.m. from April 20th - 29th. Shuttles depart in front of the UCC. Click here for more details.

Poverty Research Centre opens in London
A new collaborative initiative, the London Poverty Research Centre, has opened as a virtual hub to deal with local level poverty in London.
Partners in this new initiative are the Sisters of St. Joseph, the London Food Bank, volunteer members of the Centre's Task Force along with funders and partners including the London Community Foundation and King's University College. King's faculty and students will be major academic partners providing research and data from the School of Social Work (undergraduate and graduate programs), Economics, Social Justice & Peace Studies, Religious Studies and Sociology.

Foundations in the Humanities students present independent research projects
King's students from the 2013 - 2014 Foundations in the Humanities program presented their independent research projects onApril 5th in the Vitali Student Lounge.
Family and friends were invited to the half-day conference where they learned about famous playwrights, philosophers and influential works. Presentations were broken up into two panels.

Developing real-world solutions in applications of psychological science
Students in Professor Marcie Penner-Wilger's PSYCH 4694 (Collaborative Research in Applications of Psychological Science) developed research-based solutions to real-world problems facing our community.
Student teams presented their solutions to a panel of community members on March 18th. The Agnes Penner Prize, for the project with the greatest potential to benefit society, was awarded by the panel to Sowing Seeds. Congratulations to Jesica Mikkila, Myles Maillet and Kendra Di Bacco.

20 Minute Makeover with King's Green Team
April 25th, 10 a.m.
King's Green Team will be hosting a clean up event on our campus to coincide with the City of London 20 Minute Make Over. Everyone who participates will be entered into a draw for one of four King's Travel Mugs! Coffee and snacks provided by Aramark.

Faculty Association Award for Outstanding Achievement

This award is granted to a graduating King's student. It will be granted based on academic success, as well as individual and social achievements. An overall average of 75% is required. Application is available on the King's website. Please forward to Student Financial Services by April 30th.
