Making a difference is about helping people and improving communities.  With approximately twenty-five percent of our client base in this industry, we understand that nonprofit organizations rely on volunteers to meet their missions and maximize the community benefits they provide.  The National Council of Nonprofits cites the following three "Trends to Watch" for nonprofit entities in 2015:  (1) limited resources (2) increasing community needs; and (3) government burdens shifting to non-profit entities due to budget shortfalls.  These challenges are amplified as the pools of volunteers and prospective board members are bombarded with opportunities to serve multiple organizations.    

The nonprofit organizations that are also members of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance deserve special consideration from our membership.  If you are looking for a way for your company to give back, to teach your children about the benefits of helping others or to just donate canned goods that are taking up your pantry space, please pay special attention to the needs of these Alliance members.
