Day of Play Supporters!
Thank you to the attendees, volunteers, organizations, sponsors, and businesses who helped make our Day of Play on June 29th a huge success! During the event, children and their families participated in fun hands-on activities that introduced them to gardening, healthy foods and nutrition, and physical activity.The purpose of the Day of Play program is to educate the community about the connections between food and health. Over 300 people attended the event and enjoyed tasty snacks, gardening, games, arts and crafts, and more!

Recipe of the Week
Tomato Bruscetta

(Serves 4)
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic chopped
� cup onion chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped in 1/2 inch chunks
4-6 basil leaves, shredded or torn with fingers
2 Tablespoons olive oil
4 slices toast
Directions
1. Saut� onion in olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes, and add garlic. Cook for a few more minutes.
2. Add tomatoes, toss with oil and garlic, warm through, cooking gently. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with a little salt.
3. Top toast with tomatoes and sprinkle with basil.
