Trip report for O'Melveny Park Bird Walk
on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

Number of participants: 48 + 3 leaders
Start time 8:00am
Finish time 10:25am
Distance covered: 1.0 mile
Weather:  sunny and breezy with winds up to 15 mph

Although windy and cool at times, the park was quite birdy with wintering species still hanging around and spring migrants just arriving.  The bird of the day (and a Wild Wings Bird Walk first) was a Greater Roadrunner.  After only seeing a flash of tail, we were able track the roadrunner down as it called and the search ended with everyone getting great scope views.  House Wrens were singing everywhere, a sure sign that spring has arrived!
