Thursday News Summaries and Commentaries
Wow the news keeps coming at us today, and it is making a splash in many circles it would seem.....PM Abadi continues to work on his reform policies and plans, appeasing the demonstrators while at the same time apparently riling the powers to be within Iran.....
Abadi stands strong on his stance about corruption.....NO ONE is above the law.....but Iran doesn't seem to agree with him on this matter, especially where it involves the like of Maliki and his thugs......
Meanwhile we have Maliki trying to act like the big bad wolf who is attempting to huff and puff and blow down the houses that Abadi has built.....the problem that Maliki has is that he is NOT the one in power....Abadi is.....anything that Maliki attempts can and should be construed as a coup or take-over attempt on his part....treason in other words.....

chattels: ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Hevidar Ahmed, the Rudaw correspondent who covered the nightlong Erbil talks between the five major Kurdish parties in Erbil, has spoken about US Deputy Special Envoy Brett H. McGurk's role in the talks. "
He came tidy with a beautifully knotted tie, but as talks dragged on, one could clearly see how tired he had become," said Ahmed. The Erbil talks were held at Saad Abdullah Palace between the five major parties to bring about a solution to the presidential crisis. Supporters of current Kurdistan region president Masoud Barzani would like him to remain in his post past the end of his term on Thursday.
"Ambassador McGurk was respected by all parties," noted Hevidar. "He was running from one room to another to urge the parties to reach a consensus. Whenever he saw two parties engaging in a dialogue, he hurried to calm them down and help the talks continue."

VIDEO: World drowns in oil as producers slug it out
Oil prices continue to crater, and the bottom remains elusive because not one of the world's three largest producers shows any sign of blinking.
The latest leg down for crude came with U.S. weekly inventory data Wednesday which showed a surprise supply build of 2.6 million barrels last week, while analysts had expected a drop. West Texas Intermediate futures plunged 4.3 percent to $40.80 per barrel, a new six-year low.
"What we tend to think is these low prices will be around in our forecast for a couple of quarters," said Eric Lee, energy analyst at Citigroup. Analysts believe ultimately low prices should stop some of the production that is driving a supply glut, but that has not happened as quickly as experts had previously projected.

ISX continued their losses, down to 880 from a high of 990 a few months ago. And good ole' Forex continues to hold tight on the the Dinar. Fourth straight day in a row it hasn't polled above 1130. Currently 1121.1.
Iko Ward : I don't get why people want to risk buying Rial when the ROI is better on Dinar and Dong. Do you really think the world is going to let it RV before the Dinar?
