Come and help us equip the saints!

At ASELSI  we need your donations in order to pay our Guatemalan staff.  But we also need more missionaries to come as volunteers and help us to equip the saints.  If you have a call on your life for missions, please consider joining us as a full time missionary.  We ask for an initial 2 year commitment.   Please contact us for more information:
Spring is a great time to use our ASELSI Gift Catalog!  You can make a donation via our catalog as an Easter gift, a Mother's Day gift,  a Graduation gift, or just to say, "Happy Spring:!

MARCH 2014
Equipping

Eph.4:13 says we are to equip the saints until we are: "fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ".

It is quite a goal to be fully mature adults. We want what we want, when we want it, and we don't like the word "no", yet that is exactly what God says to us every day, the word "no". As educators and builders in the Kingdom of God our objective is to build "saints" that will produce good fruit even when the tree is blown by unsure and sometimes violent storms. We will function on a high level, no matter what happens on the outside. Please pray for our conference as we gather to hear a Word of the Lord. Please pray for our workers and missionaries as we prepare for the conference. May we equip the leaders in Central and South America until they are "fully mature, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ".
Blessings,

John Harvey

The theme this year is "Integrity".
Please pray for Pastor Bob MacGregor from City Harvest Church in Vancouver, Washington, who will be the main speaker on Friday morning and Friday evening, and lead workshops on Friday   Please also pray for Mike McComb, who will speak on Saturday morning, lead a workshop on Friday, and participate in the panel discussion on Saturday. Please also pray for the other workshop leaders and panel participants: Emanuel Prez, Jorge Rojas, Carlos Romero, John Harvey and Jos Prez.  Pray for the Praise Band led by Carlos and Emily Romero.
May all who attend be blessed and equipped during this time!
EBA(Estudios Biblicos ASELSI):  Equipping Pastors
What do all of these men have in common?  They have all studied in ASELSI at some point!
Domingo on the extreme left is our Ixil area regional coordinator and current ASELSI undergraduate student, Andres is studying in our high school level theological program, Kenny studied in our San Marcos, Texas extension and Miguel graduated from our Nebaj extension! These men worked together to build a new church building in the Ixil village of Tu Chauk and found out that they all had ASELSI in common!
ASELSI is reaching people all over the globe, preparing them for ministry
and sending them out in Jesus' name!

Thank you for making this possible through your prayers and  donations!
The Father's Heart Clinic:
Equipping Health Care Professionals
WELCOME DR. WILLY!
ASELSI is happy to announce Dr. Willy Peliz began working for The Fathers Heart Clinic in February, 2014. He studied for his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of San Carlos, in Quetzaltenago, Guatemala. He works Tuesdays in the OB/GYN Clinic, Thursdays in the General Cllinic and Friday in the Chronic Clinic. Dr. Willy is from Chichicastenago, where he lives with his parents and siblings. He is a huge asset to our clinic and we are very happy to add him to our Guatemalan staff.
Please pray for Dr. Willy as he begins to practice medicine here.

These two young professionals are a huge asset to the work of the Father's Heart Clinic.  But we need your prayers and donations for them to keep working here.  Would you consider making a donation to help pay the salaries of the dedicated Guatemalans who minister with us?  You can donate here.  If you give on line, send us an email with the details of your designation.  Thank you!

WELCOME SHES!
Shesita Rivera or Shes, as we call her, has been part of ASELSI since she was a young girl. Her father is a member of the ASELSI board of directors. Currently she is a student, completing her thesis to receive her degree as a licensed physical therapist in Guatemala.
Our staff, patients, and families have quickly embraced this energetic, young Guatemalan woman with a heart for therapy, missions and serving the Lord. We would love for Shes to stay on with us after she finishes her thesis. She would be a great addition to our center for physical motor assistance, CAF.
Would you prayerfully considering helping us continue to expand and grow our center for physical motor assistance by contributing to CAF? Your donation will help us not only hire her, but also increase salaries for the Guatemalan staff that have already been working faithfully for the last nine years.
