Saturday evening 7/25:  Afton After Hours with the Sally Rose Band.  Fresh off her competition for the Rock'n with Lock'n opening slot, Sally and her gang join us from 6-8:30 for our July After Hours.  Rain or shine, $5 per person cover.  Food available from Blue Ridge Pizza and South Fork Food Truck. 

 

Lavender Season: We cut all of our lavender today. Once the bees leave, we know it's ok for us to step in and take our share. We'll have small bundles of fresh lavender available to our customers no charge; first come, first serve.

 

Nice Notice: Esteemed wine writer Oz Clarke just published his second edition of his "Grapes and Wines" guide.  Courtesy of photographer Mick Rock, who visited us last November with the Circle of Wine Writers, we found out that AMV Petit Verdot was listed as one of two new entries for Virginia wine.  Accompanied by a beautiful photo of our PV block in the book, we were thrilled!

 

"Family Feud"  Join us at Rocksalt Restaurant in Charlottesville on Thursday August 6th.  We are teaming up in a friendly family competition between beer and wine.  Each course will be paired with one Champion Brewing Co beer and one AMV wine.  Participants will vote each time for their favorite pairing.  This is going to sell out fast, so make your reservation: (434) 326 -5665.  We can't wait for this - we need our wine friends' to come out and support!
