Fall Legislative Report from State Representative Chris Welch!

SPRINGFIELD - The Fall Legislative Session, also known as veto session, for the Illinois General Assembly began this week, and not much was accomplished by the legislature on any of the major issues facing us. We return for the Fall Legislative Session on November 5, 2013.

I remain hopeful that we will resolve some, if not all of the major issues (Pension reform, Marriage equality, Tax breaks for big corporations, and Guns) when we return in November. Please look for my next Legislative Report on Friday, November 8, 2013.

Rep. Welch to Host a Veterans' Expo on Saturday, November 9 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Bellwood

BELLWOOD, IL - Veterans and their families are encouraged to join Rep. Welch to learn about services available from state and local agencies for Illinois veterans at a Veterans' Expo on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm. The Expo will take place at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall located at 2817 St. Charles Road, Bellwood, Illinois. Free health screenings and employment services will also be offered.
