Free Training to Save a Life!
Opioid Overdose Response Training
Opioids are prescription pain medicines such as Percocet or Vicodin and street drugs such as heroin. If your child, spouse or friend is abusing opioids, attend the free training offered by the Howard County Health Department. Register by calling the Health Department at 410-313-6202.

Howard County Police Collision Avoidance Training
Saturday, April 25
The Howard County Police Department will be conducting an advanced defensive driving and vehicle control program for licensed teenage drivers ages 16-20. The one-day program (8.5 hours) is designed to provide young drivers with knowledge and understanding of vehicle dynamics. Drug Take Back Day Results

On Saturday, April 11, the Howard County Police Department and HC DrugFree partnered to collect

838 pounds of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. HC DrugFree's office also collected 6 bags of needles, syringes and EpiPens.

Thank you to the Howard County General Hospital and Director of Pharmacy Masoomeh Khamesian (and HC DrugFree's Board Chair) for your support. What To Do With The Meds You Don't Want?

The Howard County Police Department and HC DrugFree are partnering to provide convenient permanent medication disposal boxes. The first 3 boxes available for year-round use are at the Northern District Station (3410 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City), Southern District Station (11226 Scaggsville Road, Laurel), and the Gary Arthur Community Center (2400 Route 97, Cooksville).
