 This Week

Maundy Thursday: 7 pm.  On Palm Sunday Jesus rode into town on a donkey. They shouted "Hosanna!" and threw down their cloaks for the donkey to tread on.  On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday, he taught in the Temple.  On Thursday, nobody could find him.   But he arranged to have the Passover dinner that night with his closest friends.  He realized it was his last meal.  And he made every gesture, every word, count.   We'll follow where he led in this interactive footwashing and Eucharist. And we'll commission the team that tends the Lord's table - the Altar Guild, and we'll watch as they perform the mournful duty of stripping the altar of all ornamentation following the Lord's Supper.

Good Friday: Noon.  Walk the traditional Way of the Cross with Jesus as he makes his way from the courts of Pilate to the garbage dump on which he'll be killed, carrying the execution equipment himself.  We will contemplate his journey through scripture reading, drumbeat, and song.  Through this valley of shadow lies the way of Light.

Holy Saturday:  Not exactly silent, we'll support our community at the Buda Easter Egg Hunt at the YMCA/Sportsplex from 9-11.  We will be distributing bookmark/invitations to worship to the 2000 or so children who attend.  Our HQ will be a blue pop-up tent.  Contact Christy Vick   to let her know you are coming!

Easter Sunday: Festival Worship at 10:30 am
The Day of Resurrection is the pinnacle of our year.  We'll begin our worship with the Children's Flowering of the Cross, so bring flowers from your meadow or garden (we'll have extras).  Then we will sing our hearts out and celebrate the promise of eternal life with our Saviour and our Brother, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
