Call For Artists! Los Angeles Art Association & the City of West Hollywood are proud to announce a Call for Artists for 'Out There: I Do' a  special exhibition 

celebrating marriage equality during West Hollywood's Pride Month One City One Pride festival.  LAAA Artists can submit up to 3 pieces for free. Fee for non-members is $35 up to 3 pieces. Each additional entry is $5 up to 5 total. To submit, click here and read all guidelines carefully.

World Book Night - April 23

Volunteers will be handing out free books as part of West Hollywood's celebration of World Book Night. This year 25,000 volunteers will gift half-a-million books nationwide with the purpose of reintroducing light or non-readers to books. Please the Library as authors David Kukoff and Samantha Geimer discuss their books. In her searing memoir about the infamous Roman Polanski sexual assault case, The Girl, Samantha Geimer breaks a virtual thirty-five year silence to tell her story.  Children of the Canyon, by David Kukoff, tells the story of David, a boy growing up in LA's fabled Laurel Canyon neighborhood as the 1960s counterculture is coming to an end.

One City One Pride

Love = Love : 5 Year Road to Marriage Reception, FREE

David McCoy is a filmmaker and photographer for the Love Is Love documentary and community awareness project which follows grassroots LGBT activism in Southern California. This exhibit is a selection of 22 prints from his 56,000 photo collection, highlighting everyday people in West Hollywood and the Greater LA area fighting to repeal Prop 8.
