HC DrugFree Launches New Initiative

On behalf of the Howard County Alcohol Coalition, HC DrugFree has launched a new initiative - Be a Parent, Not a Friend - in an effort to educate parents and other adults about the risks and consequences of providing alcohol to underage youth, as well as the hazards of underage drinking. Through the use of technology, this media campaign includes videos that are available to Howard County residents to view online, allowing busy parents to receive information about how to address drug and alcohol issues among youth.
HC DrugFree is able to educate and advocate for change in Howard County because of the many committed Alcohol Coalition partners, especially the Howard County Health Department, Police Department, State's Attorney's Office, Department of Fire and Rescue Services, courts, school system, treatment providers, students and parents, all working together to empower parents and keep youth safe.

Teen Advisory Council (TAC) Meetings
TAC is open to Howard County high school students, and meetings will be held at The Barn at the Oakland Mills Village Center from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on:

January 12th
