The Exploratorium and Benjamin Levy explore the nuances of social boundaries with Comfort Zone, a new participatory installation which integrates choreography into a virtual, interactive experience, exploring themes of group dynamics, choice, and social boundaries. Comfort Zone will invite visitors to explore these themes in a playful way, using their bodies, not their critical minds.

Receive 10 free hours of rehearsal space in LEVYstudio to take risks, develop ideas, explore, and collaborate on the creation of a new work or re-investigate existing material. Each artist presents a 5-minute piece or excerpt in a casual speakeasy-style showcase followed by a DJ-hosted dance party.

"I'm very excited to join LEVYdance/LEVYstudio in my new position, and to be part of a company that has big dreams and a pathway to attain them. Not only am I getting to explore and promote what it takes to keep those dreams intact, but I get to meet and work with people from the community coming in and out of the space; and all the while, Iʼm surrounded by...dance! My two worlds are colliding, and I couldnʼt be happier!"
Jeanette has recently moved back to the Bay Area to immerse herself in the arts community in San Francisco, and is thrilled to be joining LEVYdance as the new
Administrative Coordinator and LEVYstudio Manager. After growing up in the East Bay
where she assisted her local dance studio with basic scheduling and maintenance, she
attended college at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned her Bachelor
of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. While in school she received several opportunities
to get involved in on-campus clubs related to the arts community and was in leadership
positions tending to the organizational and fundraising elements of club activities and
performances. She still actively takes dance classes, teaches to youngsters in the East
Bay, and performs in local dance projects in the city. Jeanette will be performing with LEVYdance in the upcoming production of ROMP at the General's Residence, November 21-23.

Get in Front with LEVYdance and the Bay Area's most celebrated dance companies on 11.12.13! Enjoy a special one-night only performance to benefit the Cancer Prevention Institute of California (CPIC). ALL ticket holders are also invited to the after party in the YBCA Forum, immediately following the performance, featuring local restaurants, caterers, wineries, and musicians. All proceeds benefit CPIC's cancer prevention research and other programs.
