Congratulations, Professor Arne Ljungqvist! We are delighted to announce Professor Ljungqvist is our 2014 Humanitarian Award recipient. Honored for a lifetime of achievement in the anti-doping movement, Professor Ljungqvist has been on all sides of sport - athlete, physician, policy maker, and mentor. It is this unique position that has allowed him to improve the culture of sport and educate youth all across the world about the dangers of doping.

The prestigious Humanitarian Award is given to individuals and organizations  that have stepped up as leaders and champions for social, economic, political, or environmental justice and equality. This award honors those who actively fight against indifference, injustice and intolerance. It recognizes those who promote an international spirit of understanding, cooperation, friendship, and development. Previous recipients include Richard Pound (2010) and Sir Philip Craven (2012).
