Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) will host a free Lunch and Learn seminar on diabetes Friday, March 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CMH Community Rooms. Information will be presented by Martin S. Tyson, D.O., FACS, FAPWCA. Dr. Tyson will discuss diabetes and how to prevent diabetic foot ulcers.
Dr. Tyson is certified by the Diplomate American Board of Surgery/General Surgery, the Diplomate Board of Surgery/Surgical Critical Care, the Fellow American College of Surgeons and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He received his doctoral degree of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Tyson completed his residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center and his fellowship at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Some of his practices and procedures include general surgery, minimally invasive surgery, hernia repair, critical care, burn care, skin grafting, amputation prevention, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, wound care and advanced therapies for wounds. Dr. Tyson is in practice at the CMH Wound and Hyperbaric Center located at 1300 Oakland Ave, Bolivar.
