Attending Board of Trustee Meetings
Members are welcome to attend the Board meeting, but according to our guiding documents, are not allowed to speak unless they have been invited to do so by a Board member.

To attend, please call headquarters at 802-684-3417 during the day to receive an access code to the teleconference. Someone from headquarters will check your name against our membership list and then give you the proper phone number and access code.

You must call in on time, at 7:30 PM EST.  As a courtesy to those presenting to the Board, members are asked to not enter the conference call after the meeting has started, which will be approximately 7:35.

The call is free, but you will have to pay your own long distance phone cost.  The meeting is recorded and you will be asked to acknowledge this before you can enter.  (FYI: All phone numbers and the duration of their being on the call are listed by our phone conference system.)

When you enter, please announce yourself: your name and where you are from, which we will record in the minutes.  We ask that you then mute yourself (by pushing *6; push *6 again to un-mute yourself) as extraneous noises are heard by all.  You may leave by hanging up any time you wish; you do not need to announce you are doing so.

If you have concerns about a topic on the agenda, and wish to have your views made known, please contact the trustee presenting on that topic and discuss the matter with them.  The trustee's responsibility is to work with you on this issue, so that their presentation includes the viewpoints of the members.
