WPH supports Neighbourhood Action Planning in Hamilton

WPH is pleased to announce that they are working with Mohawk College and Hamilton's Neighbourhood Development
Strategy to initiate labour market action plans in three neighbourhoods: Jamesville, Keith and Beasley.

The goal of the project is to work with neighbourhoods (residents, planning teams, organizations, and employers)
to develop and implement strategies to improve high school completion rates, participation in post-secondary education and employment training that will lead to higher rates of labour force participation and better jobs for neighbourhood residents. Watch this space for updates on this work.

Toronto's Mentoring Partnership Program helps new Canadians reach their career potential

The Mentoring Partnership Program is run by the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) through 12 agencies and 27 corporate partners. Since its creation six years ago, its arranged 5,300 matches, with the help of more than 3,800 volunteer mentors.
